School of Architecture Ball tonight, and the theme is GLAM ROCK! but, argh, I'm having a fashion crisis!
To dress like a whore, or to not dress like a whore, that is the question.....

I have been pondering the "dressing like a whore" issue of late. Yesterday, "E" gave back my old black skirt (which she had worn to a fancy dress party, as part of her "slut from the deal or no deal show" outfit). Hmmm. This event caused some not so fond reminiscences of fashion crises past, including
1)sparkly denim hotpants (from 70's disco slut phase)
2)paisley halter(which "halted" halfway between bra and bellybutton)
3)aforementioned black skirt (with black high heels and black leather biker jacket) from "whore-goth-secretary" stage
Ahh those innocent days, where I cared not for the consequences for my attire. Tis' sad, being a woman of a certain age and weight, having to put those days behind me...
So my advice is, while you're young and thin and gorgeous, show it off!!! Although I cannot sympathise with the balls issue, I have suffered the agonies of heels and underwire, and trust me, on rare occasions (such as "balls" he he) it is definitely worth it.
I hope you had a lovely time and any propositions were accompanied by free drinks. Just remember that it's ok to dress like a whore... but acting like one will only bring you trouble.
