the only thing I ever want anymore

Oh, man, it's been a while, hasn't it? :( Missed you guys.

I have an assortment of recs, though! :D?

Make Me Call Again by summerstorm - Community, Britta/Slater, PG-13/R, 5300 words. Britta comes to the conclusion that hating Slater isn't worth the hassle of avoiding her. Slater comes to a similar conclusion about avoiding Britta. They attempt to call a truce. Hilarious! The characters - especially Britta - remain relentlessly true to themselves throughout, and there's this brittle tenderness to their growing (secret!) relationship that I found really believable.

Lightning Strikes by anonymous at smutty_claus - Harry Potter, Ginny/Zacharias, NC-17, 14,900 words. After the war, Zach's grandfather has a hefty investment package going out to the Holyhead Harpies. But when he demands that they start accepting men on the team, Ginny and the other Harpies players rebel - while Zach has the dubious pleasure of being caught in the middle. Fun, fast-paced read. I love that this develops Ginny and Zacharias beyond their canon characterizations without losing them; it feels like the author just added instead of recreating.

Fall For Me by fools_game - Idol/glam RPF, Adam/Tommy, NC-17, 13,000 words. “Oh my god, just stay here if you’re that delicate, you brat,” Adam says one night. Love on buses. Sometimes you just need a relatively uncomplicated first time story full of pining and cuddling and sweetness.

The Elliot Code of Honour by cest_what & softlyforgotten - Ryan/Brendon, Z/Tennessee, PG, 30,000 words. Masquerades, double identities, cross-dressing, feuds, duels and pining. (A regency AU.) This is SO delightful.

All their rights respected by petronelle - Generation Kill, Ray gen, teen, 3500 words. When Ray turns towards the panties, there's a woman at the end of the row staring at him who obviously thinks he's picking out clothes for his jailbait girlfriend. MtF Rae! <3333

The Waters Know Their Own by anonymous at hd_holidays - Harry Potter, Harry/Draco, R, 15,800 words. Harry and Draco decide to spend Christmas with the Notts, although neither of them seems to know precisely why. Harry finds most of the company lacking, and some of it downright dangerous. An interesting take on an established h/d relationship. I liked the way the true emotional conflict of the story revealed itself slowly, unobtrusively, and then wasn't fully resolved; it made the story feel very much like a believable slice of life.

Nineteen Seventy-nine by blamebrampton - Harry Potter, Lily/Regulus, Lily/James, R, 29,000 words. Regulus Black already knows he's made a horrible mistake. I can say that loved the way the author developed Lily and Regulus's friendship/relationship without ever minimizing Lily and James's marriage, but mostly I can't come up with anything coherent to put here because god, this story completely wrecked me. oh, Regulus, why are you so inevitably tragic? why must ALL of your generation break my heart?

good orderly direction by preromantics - Social Network RPF, Andrew/Jesse, PG-13, 2800 words. We’re not going skating when you get here,” Jesse says. He has plans. Mainly plans that involve the mini bar and seeing Andrew again, finally, and maybe passing out in the same bed and waking up sort of tangled together and overheated, like that one time (two, three, five times) on the press tour. MOST awkwardly adorable.

Between the Lines by woldy - Harry Potter, Cho/Hermione, G, 2000 words. When people ask, Hermione tells them she and Cho were brought together by a love of books. Warming and sweet holiday-flavoured fic. I hadn't considered this pairing before, but it makes total sense!

A Corridor Full of Hot Strong Love by anonymous at smutty_claus - Harry Potter, Harry/Luna, NC-17. lkajf;lskhf, what utterly effing gorgeous art this is! with the House ties and the polka-dotted shoes and Harry eating Luna out, omg. *_*
