For the most part, today has sucked. However, silverlining_99 (aka anonynonymous) wrote Not Your Standard Law Enforcement Away Mission. That is: McCoy/Chapel frottage, in public, on a mission, that starts with McCoy clinically calling Chapel (who is sitting on his lap) out on the indicators of her arousal (Chapel retorts that if he wants to talk vasocongestion and tumescence, McCoy need only look down.) Possessive McCoy + gloriously hot dirty talk + scroll down for the best part: unbearably delicious Kirk/McCoy/Chapel OT3 porn.

*____* is all I have to say on the matter.

lovestories prompted me with Zoe 'FREAKING GAZELLE LEGS OF BEAUTY' Saldana, Star Trek, CRAZY AMAZING RPS, Karl Urban, pretty people for that five words meme.

Zoe 'FREAKING GAZELLE LEGS OF BEAUTY' Saldana - I adore her, for serious. She's incredibly industrious and talented, smart, classy, gorgeous, and always, always smiling. /gush

Star Trek - the fandom that ate my braaain. Weirdly enough, my experience with it has been different from those that I've had with any other fandom. For one thing, I find myself actually *involved* in the fandom - writing, commenting, and posting regularly (something I hadn't done in five years of fannish involvement). I've never been this interested in gen or in het before, for another. And my pairing, character, and plot/trope preferences are idiosyncratic and weirdly specific - or maybe it's just that things like st_xi_kink have made me more aware of my own kinks and preferences than I've ever been before. It feels to me like Star Trek *exploded* into this really generous fandom with a lot of writing from the hips going on.

CRAZY AMAZING RPS - I love RPS! I think one of the reasons I love reading it is that I am one of those people who often gets into fandoms w/no canon knowledge whatsoever and who loves original slash fiction. With a few exceptions, I don't read for love of the source material so much as love for the fanfiction itself; and sometimes RPS fandoms:FPS fandoms::slipping a silk sheath dress over your head:having someone button and tie you into stays and corsets. I love writing it because I think it's much easier to write about (fictional constructs of) real people than about characters - I can fudge characterization and canon so much more, ahaha. I can fake having some idea of what I'm doing with much more facility.

Karl Urban - Mostly my thing for Karl Urban stems from two facts: 1) he played Dr. McCoy (♥). 2) affectingly some people on my flist talks about him so often that I've kind of fallen for him by osmosis, hee.

pretty people - I like looking at them! Case in point: here! have, courtesy of chris_pine_daily, lots of images of Chris looking pretty! (Sometimes dorky, but mostly just pretty.)
