(no subject)
Out of the hospital, and in so much pain. I have a wicked incision down my belly, and I'm wondering if it'd be mean to post pics of it on myspace and facebook. >:) I like it. It's about 30,000 staples holding it together.
For the record, I have Crohn's Disease. It's an autoimmune disease that is uncurable, but pretty easy to live with. I know I said autoimmune, but if any one tries to say I caught the hiv I'll cut you. Basically, something unknown triggers the immune system to attack within the intestines, causing inflammation and damage. Only, that trigger is unable to be turned off. Once the first attack hits, it's something that has to be managed with medication after that. My case was severe because I ignored it for over a month, resulting in my appendix and a section of my intestine being removed. >_<
So, if I stay on my medication, I should be able to prevent another surgery. Atleast, for a good while. Hopefully. It doesn't help that I smoke. I haven't smoked for a week now, and I'm probably going to keep on that track. Don't give me shit if I slip though, it's a hard process! :P
So, that's that. I was pretty upset when I first found out, but I'm in good spirits now. I mean, it could be worse, ya? Plus I had such wonderful people come visit me for the week I was in there. :D
