Day 7 ~~ 30 days of fandom meme
Yes Yes I know I'm Cheating again with posting more than one, but Technically they are two shows so the two scenes from Clannad should really be considered as one. I choose these scenes because every time I watch them I always end up crying my heart out
Day 07: The Most HeartBreaking Scene?
Nagisa Death
Clannad Can easily be one of the most realistic animes to me, in terms of how the charecters interact with each other as well as how relationships are made. Everyone loved Nagisa, I haven't met anyone who really had a serious problem with her; she is just one of those charecters who were so lovable. We all felt pity towards her because her body was very weak and she often got sick. When I found out that she was pregnant. I was literally at the edge of my seat just waiting for her to give birth and praying that she will make it. She managed to give birth to Ushio and I still held my breath as she slowly began to fade. Her conversatiopn with Tomoya on how he was trying to get her to see their baby and that he was proud of her really broke my heart. Ever so slowly she began to die and here come my waterworks.
I swear anyone who watches this scene, knowing who the charecters are, and does not cry is either not human or does not have a heart. I was sobbing like a baby when I saw Tomoya cry out her name then throw himself over her body, hugging her tightly, not wanting her to go and leave him alone. They married young and I felt it was unfair for them to have to experience each other's death this nearly in their lives. But it shows that this kind of stuff happens in real life.
Ushio's Death
As If we didnt have enough to deal with, just like Nagisa's death. Clannad has shown her Ushio, who can easily be the most adorable anime child. You cannot help but get sucked into her cuteness and innocence. Even Tomoya's heart broke when she cried over the toy that she lost and that she wanted to find it no matter what because it was the first toy that her dad every gave her. I swear that scene itself has me sobbing.
Unfortunatly she is born with the same illness that took her mothers life, but unlike Nagisa Ushio didnt like her life as long as Nagisa did. She dies in her fathers arms and that was it for me. I couldn't take it anymore, I started to wail for this scene Literally. First Nagisa and now Ushio! I swear Tomoya's experssion was even more heart breaking that before, him sitting there calling for Ushio to wake up, calling for Nagisa to save their daughter.
I dare you to look at his expression and not feel sad or heartbroken about it
I seriously thought that this guy was going to commit suicide or something .. and quite frankly I wouldnt have blamed him. First this highschool sweetheart turned wife and now his baby girl! Its just too cruel.
Shirley's Death
You seriously thought I wouldnt include this in the meme. In the whole series of Code Geass I consider this as the saddest death of all. Euphie was heartbreaking. Lelouch's was predictable but Shirley's death broke me apart.
I have loved Shirley from Episode one of the first season and have shipped Lelouch and Shirley throughout the whole thing, delighted to see that this pairing can actually happen when watching some of the episodes that involved them together. As episode 13 of R2 neared I had a very bad feeling about Shirley getting too involved and feared the worst. To my utter horror, my fears came true and Shirley got shot. OMG I was curled up in ball crying my eyes out in this scene. The chances of this pairing happening were extermely high and when I saw how desperate Lelouch tried to save her, I couldnt take it anymore. How Shirley was asking Lelouch if it was alright for her to love him again no matter many times she gets reborn. I'm not sure about this but I think that other than Nunnally, Shirley was the only other person that Lelouch cried over and let out that famous gut crunching scream. I'm not sure though
oh and for the record, I always hated that little bastard Rolo ... a lot of people were sad about this death but I seriously celebrated it. obviously here in the pervious journal Rant
