So, I'm having the worst possible week ever. I MEAN EVER!!!
But I got some pretty good news I think. The Shariki Program, a Japanese Exchange program between Bath, Maine and Shariki, Japan (Northern Honshu) happens every year. This year, they asked me if I would volunteer and help out with the program. Go to a host-families here and help them understand Japanese Culture, help translate (if possible), and be a guide. The good thing about it, is that my new boss started this program and said that sometime I may need to spend a couple months in Japan explaining the program and furthering it, pretty much doing the same thing I do here, just in Japan. She said she'd grant me a leave of absence, and doesn't see why I shouldn't be compensated while I do this.
So, in my seemingly dismal week (with an extreme amount of rain - forcasts call for rain until next thursday), emotional rollercoaster rides - Weeeeee!, and a roommate with no rent money this month; I think I might survive.
If not I'll join the Army - no point in killing my self when the president can do it for me. Right?
