Yikes, my sympathies. I came up with an idea for a new invention the other day, prompted by a similar experience: child-cancelling headphones. They're like noise-cancelling headphones, but much more specific.

Good idea, where do I get a pair?? The kids have kicked off now and the dogs are barking their tails off!
Also, I've sent you an email asking for ome techie advice onthe failure of my computer to run a disk check (chkdsk) when asked, both automatically and manually. I've put all details in the email and it's quite long winded, so any thoughts would be welcomed.
