On the subject of language, and whilst acknowledging that similar case examples of the form are unlikely to become regular features here, if only because that'd be tantamount to admitting that academics sometimes accidentally veer towards the trivial whilst in pursuit of the profound (which would never do), I'd like to pay homage to a word which may have finally made the transition from silly-sounding, innuendo-riddled semi-absurdity, to a state of commonly-used, smirk-free acceptability:
