the best day ever, part 1

while I am currently interested and most stuff is still fresh within my mind
part one of yesterday's antics

[skips our breakfast at Perkins, the stop at Sheetz, the approx 2 hour drive there]
Won't bore you with all that

[starts at the parking lot]
Trying to get to the parking lot was our first adventure, our next one immediately after by defying the traffic attendants and going sooo much closer to the entrance. Instead of parking in sections 35 or so, we parked in section 17, backwards! Try and figure that one out! ;) Hahaha

Our next adventure was trying to locate those damn lockers. We got uber confused because the ones we used last time weren't there anymore. We noticed the "shadows" of missing metal the second time back to the previous location. We found new and improved lockers elsewhere, which were guarded over by the same attendant all day. (the poor guy! damn.)

Finally able to go on some rides, I suggest going on the Comet first, otherwise it wouldn't be as fun. Smaller coaster, same big hill. Yay! I don't remember the order of the rides after that. I think we may have gone on the Flying Falcon next.

I kind of remember putting my hair in a ponytail for the second ride on, so that would make the Flying Falcon next. The last time we went on this, my hair was not up and my friend Nila got a mouthful of my hair. Haha, oops! (FYI: We don't go separately on this ride. Why take up an extra seat? Plus we talk to each other about the weirdest shit, it's great.) So yeah, it's not a rollercoaster, but this ... [Picture here] Like the Scrambler but way up high in the air. Truthfully, kind of freaks me out. Probably why I always agree to go on it. So this time on it, Nila's talking about how one of her life goals is to have the longest funeral procession in history. One person to a car, from NYC to LA. Tying up traffic for weeks and months. I think it's apparently my job to arrange all of this. Thanks, you die and I take care of the Guinness Book of World Records Funeral. Way to leave me Nila! ^_^ Of course we'd have a death conversation on a ride like this, too.

OH! Then, we get off the ride, and Nila goes "Michelle, you didn't pee in my lap did you?" I nearly peed myself at the question. I guess the cool air hitting her lap after my ass keeping it warm throughout the ride felt like I peed on her. That was fucking hilarious.

The other rides we went on in some order: Great Bear, Side Winder, Storm Runner, Wild Cat, the Claw, and maybe something else I can't remember because this doesn't seem like a whole lot. There was more waiting around this year than last year, which sucked. Too many people for a company picnic, damn it!

The Great Bear is always great fun because it's an inverted coaster. You can't go wrong with inverted coasters no matter what. I'm pretty sure we went on this after the Flying Falcon because I remember having to hold in my bladder between that ride and this one.

Side Winder is not really my favorite coaster, though I will say that I tend to like being scared out of my mind when it drags you up and you're just waiting to drop. I do not like going backwards, at all. Not fun, hurts like hell. The first loop going backward felt cool, but that was like sugar coating the rest of the ride. Fuck you Sidewinder, make your head cusions softer or something. Kthnx.

The Claw isn't a huge thrill, but it's still fun. This would've been more fun had it been warmer out. It always seems like for 2/3 of the ride I'm falling into the swing backwards, and get like a good forwards sing like 2 or 3 times. Boo. The most fun comes from everyone screaming.

Storm Runner and Wildcat are FUCKING AWESOME TIMES A MILLION!!! ^_^

Storm Runner is a hydraulic coaster which is why it goes from 0 to 60 in 2 seconds, it just shoots you out. You practically pee your pants waiting and then you have no time to react after it goes "Now get ready!" and ZOOOOM! It shoots you out, you're all jittery for the entire ride, from going so fast, until after you've gotten off. It's the best coaster, for now. So I'm like "Oh shit, oh shit" before we're shot out and Nila's laughing. Then we're told to "hold on" and we get shot out. I go "Whoooooooooa" the entire way until we're then shot up. It's really a lot more like Kingda Ka then I remembered. So awesome.

Wildcat is the second best because, although it may not have any loops, it's super fast and shaky as all hell since it's wooden. A lot of the overpasses hang low so you think you're going to hit your head or your hands if they're up too high.

More on the Wildcat in part 2 though. :D
