Give up on this forum. I once thought it to be a place for the healthy discussion of labels or the absurdity of same, but it's just a troll's nest. It's created deliberately to lure people into questioning it and provide the regulars with cannon fodder using every non-argument there is.
They don't even bother to make a point using logic or reasoning and whether or not they have compassion or empathy, the whole point of anti_bisexual is to have a mud hole like this to show how fun it is to ditch it. They'll use anything against you, from the misspelling of a word to bits of info from your profile. If they can't find anything useful there, they just meme away with 'brilliant' retorts á la 'STFU you sux'! Just you wait and see - if they ever notice this reply, I'll get told I'm retarded simply for being Danish. Or liking chocolate. Or they might find something on my website to mock.
Somehow I think they consider it intelligent satire and critique or possibly even profound contributions to humanity, but well... you know, simple minds, simple pleasures ;-)
By, the way - Hi! I'm Lars. Nice to meet you.
I'm 29. I've been in a 9 yr relationship and am now on my 4th year of another. The former SO was female, the current is male. Both relationships monogamous, and in the short time between them I had some one-night stands with both women, men and one MTF. Love feels the same, the caring for somebody else, the security and occasional insecurity, the ups and downs, the stagnation, the progress, the bad hair days, the wild sex and so on :-)
So for me, apparently like you, gender is somewhat of a lesser factor. My same-sex affection has certainly not been 'youthful follies' and my other-sex attractions have likewise not been 'denial/window-dressing/internalized homophobia'.
As for the whole seeing more at the same time, I did once sort of date one of each gender. Both of them knowing about it, full openness and complete honesty. The woman however admitted she just wanted sex and cuddles. So the guy became my boyfriend for a couple of months (until he dumped me, presumably because he just needed a face to prove his sexuality to his family).
Facing homophobia, I don't cower. I fight back, and have been active in the LGBT rights movement for some years (spanning both relationships). But ironically I recently had to defend myself from gays and lesbians for being at a pride event, identified is bi. Go figure :-(
Anyway, like I said, just give up on this forum. Arguing with these people is pointless. But perhaps we can get one positive thing out of this community by friending? :-)
