Years later, cancer takes Mama. She turns to the very person who was never there in the first place. They go places. She figures he’s just making up for lost time. One day, they’re flying over the Pacific (been to Sydney once -- Doesn’t say he shot a man) and hit turbulence.
She recognizes madness in James Ford’s eyes as they descend into the ocean blue.
