Ok, to everyone who sent me books and ideas for the Medical Anthropology class I am writing for next semester
THANK YOU!!!! the class syllibus was approved and is on the schedule for next semester. I'll be co-teaching it with my mentor (who is the lead Anthropologist at YCP). I cannot wait for next semester now LOL.
Also to everyone who suggested "The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down" by Anne Fadiman, you were all right, it is a fantastic book and is now one of my personal favorites. It is also one of the required readings for the class. I can't recount the number of times that I was reading it and picked up the phone and called Dr. L (my mentor) to talk about what I had just read. We tossed ideas back and forth, thoughts, even talked about our own feelings about what we had read. Again I can't thank you all enough.
