I think the Saudi comment tends to overlook the fact most of those buyers in Saudi are probably foreign oil workers who have nothing else to do in the desert.

Though I've been told that Jordan is a country of choice for thousands of vacationers from across the Arab world ever summer, because with the lax laws here the Saudis and Gulf States folks can drink and whore around without their family knowing.
