Afternoon Tea this Saturday
J-Bear's been doing invites via FaceBook, but so many lovely people aren't there, so I'm spreading the fun this way:
Any of my friends who are in Adelaide, J-Bear and I are having a monster Afternoon Tea Party this Saturday (March 20th). Go out and do your civic duty, polling station wise, in the morning, then mosey over to the House of Confusion for the rest of the day (J-Bear seems to think Afternoon goes from 11am to 11 pm, and who am I to argue?) We have enormous amounts of tea that need drinking, plus lots of scrummy home-made jam and marmalade that need eating (although the most recent batch, the lemon and kaffir lime marmalade might be hidden, all 12 jars of it - too scrummy!) so there will be fresh baked scones, plus of course cake! Seedy cake (because how can you have proper afternoon tea without seed cake?) and probably chocolate orange marble cake again because it was lush, and possibly home made Hot Cross Buns if I'm feeling in the mood to feed and then murder yeast. Still deciding between Madeira Cake and Pound Cake.
Would love to see as many of you as possible during the afternoon. Warning of impending arrival would be appreciated, but not essential, as we can always make more scones.
