Yeah, yeah, more puppy stuff...
Now I'm a little worried. Digby likes chewing on carrots - but then I've given carrots as chew toys to every dog I've ever had, so that didn't surprise me.
About three days ago, he tried his teeth out on one of the habanero chillis in the garden. I checked - he didn't break the skin of the chilli, but obviously got a small squirt of capsicain and having a dog's sense of smell, it really got to him - he rubbed his nose in the dirt like it had been stung. Anyway, since then, he's been sniffing at the capsicums, but seemed too scared to bite them in case he got another shot of chilli.
Today a friend came over and I picked her some capsicums and a few tomatoes as we have an embarrasment of riches in the garden at the moment. To our suprise, Digby picked himself a black capsicum and brought it inside to eat while we had coffee.
While I'm please that he shows a taste for healthy vegies, I now fear for my vegetable patch. Having to fence off the pepper-patch to stop the dog eating them would just match our lives right now ;)
