*In evil whispering voice* Three Days...

Jul 26, 2004 20:23

That's how long its been since my last post. But a WHOLE lot has happened in those three days, and as a result I haven't been able to update.

Okay, let's start with Saturday. I invited Matthew to go with me to help the priests at our church move into their new house (I actually did that on friday but you know what I mean) so we could get some of our service hours. I had invited Patrick to come along too, but he was unavailable that morning and already was getting all of his anyways.

So we unloaded boxes and hauled heavy things around (while the actual men who were there were all gathered around the back of a pickup truck, cause it had an enormous metal tub, full of iced down beer) for nearly 5 hours, with maybe a 20 minutes lunch break and then a ten minute test of Father Bevington's water bed. That is the most comfortable bed I have ever laid down on..

So anyways, there was a cookout afterwards as the final touches (such as pictures, plants, and other decorative things), and then we went home and a short while later called up Patrick. His mom brought him over, and then the three of us had fun pretty much all day, making recordings of us playing GoldenEye (best game ever!!!) and later getting on the computer where Patrick introduced us to the world of downloading hilarous things off the internet. Matthew stayed the night, but Patrick didn't, and as soon as he got back to his mom's apartment (which is maybe 5 minutes away from here) we started file sharing. We were sending and receiving so much stuff, not to mention all those videos we had downloaded earlier, that I expected to see on next news broadcast, whenever it may be..:

"Starband Internet Satellite has suffered massive overload, has left orbit, and is now spiraling out of control. Experts say that it is durable enough to survive a re-entry, and that the out-of-control satellite is now headed straight for middle Tennessee, a little east of Nashville."

At which point I would hear a loud explosion and see it in my front yard.

Anyways, eventually me and Matthew went to bed, just cause we were so tired from all that we had done that day, and actually got about 7 hours of sleep considering we were at a sleepover... then we went to church on Sunday morning.

Sunady. After going to church that morning, we came back and soon afterwards went to work on our summer projects. We spent a good hour or 2 looking up information in our books, and once our internet connection came back (damn clouds) we got on and started looking up pictures. Tim had told me that he had done his whole project in about 15 minutes, which motivated me and Matthew to do the same as him- the poster comparison.

4 hours later, amidst much teeth grinding and coffee (matthew) and dr. pepper (myself), we finally found the last picture we needed, and then spent another half hour printing them all, and then we went to our family room to begin work. we went no farther than getting the pictures cut, sorted, labeled, and layed out before we decided to take a well deserved break. After one or two games of GoldenEye, we called his dad and then met him down at the Rivergate Toys R Us, and then we both went home.

That night when I was on the phone I made a plan to have the "Fun Girls" (more commonly known as Amy, Katie, and Stephanie) over just for something to do on a monday a few weeks before school starts. We were on the phone til I think 2, and then I scoured our entire house, cleaning up from my last house party..lol) and otherwise just getting everything clean and in order, doing everything but vacuuming because I didn't want to wake anyone up and figured my mom would do it anyways cause she was going to clean up the house herself, I just felt like doing it that night, and while I was cleaning I was downloading Linkin Park piano remixes and their unreleased songs off the interet, which did take a long time, and I finished all the cleaning at around 4, at which point I just sat around and waited for the downloads, which sucked cause it didn't let me start more than 2 at a time. If I had my way I'd start them all at once. All 20 that I downloaded.

At this point it's 10 minutes to 5, and I can faintly see light in the far east. I go to my CD creator and start a music CD, select all the songs I downloaded, and started to burn a CD. Maybe 5 minutes later it was just starting on track 3, so I decided to just let it go and I went on to bed, expecting it to be finshed when I woke up to I could print the case insert, put them and the CD into the case, and Voila. However, our power decided to surge last night

*insert bad words here*

which fried the CD and caused me to have to start over. On another note, the surge knocked out my clock, so I didn't wake up til 11 and they were coming at about 12. That only gave me an hour, so I started to burn the CD and then went to clean myself up.

About 12:15 a Plymouth Aries pulls into my driveway, and out come the three of them, wearing their "trucker" hats. After an hour or so of just standing quietly in our sunroom, we all came in the house and I just kinda showed them around since they've never been here before.

We plaeyed on the computer, on the N64, outside, in the street on our bikes, and otherwise in nerly every room of the house. I showed them those Jackass videos me and my cousins made in Louisville (they wanted to see what my cousins looked like, since I talk about them so much) and they found them rather amusing, as well as all those things that Patrick found on the internet.

Between me, them, and my sister we finished a 12 pack of Pepsi, and 2 bags of popcorn when we watched Spiderman..

But overall today was rather fun. I need to do that again before school starts, though if the McConnells ever get themselves down here I'm throwing a real house party, as in where I invite more than just a few people. I'm not sure what the chances of that happening anytime soon are, since school's about to start and they live 3 hours away, but I'll figure something out.

And now, "The Fun Girls" has a whole new meaning.. lol but this whole weekend has been a lot of fun.

Until the next time I have a bunch of people over, go to Louisville, or have nothing better to do...

(Ryan)"Hello ladies and gentlemen, thanks for joining us again. We call this activity here 'Chicken.' Chris, tell em why we call it chicken."
(Chris)"We don't really know why we call it chicken, it has nothing to do with the food.. But, we are calling it chicken because if you chicken out of this triangle spear, then we'll pummel you, like a damn... 5th grade sissy."
(Ryan)"Let's do it."
