The Crazy Week in review

Hi there people. Since I haven't updated since I said I got hired at the new job here's the latest of whats gone on. First of all I started training at Access Radio Chicago last Tuesday. I spent 6 hours in the control room learning the intricacies of the board, but not getting to touch it yet. Running four stations at once will be a challenge but I'm up to it.

On to other things- Wednesday I stopped in Milwaukee to pick up Jenny for the holiday festivities at my house. It was snowing so a 3 hour round trip turned into a little ove 5 hour round trip. I left home at 10:40 am, then we pulled up to my house at 4pm, followed by leaving within five minutes with my sisters in tow to go see Polar Express. As Jenny has already said this was a great movie. I was intrigued about how they would turn a short little picture book into a full length feature, butI now think that it was accomplished quite well. Let me be the first to say let the bidding war begin to make this the next network holiday staple along the lines of the original "How the Grinch stole Christmas" and "A Charlie Brown Christmas". With any luck the WB will pick it up to replace the awful cartoon based on the Elmo and Patsy song "Grandma got run over by a reindeer".

Thanksgiving day was a little rough for me. It was the first of three consecutive days that I opened at Starbucks- yes folks I'm still working there- the insurance is too good to give up. so after 8 hours of work I get home and we have the entire family over. I apologize to all that were there because I was a little cranky and tired due to working that schedule.

Friday we did a bit of shopping after I worked another open. After that we cleaned my room, closet and all because we needed to get the christmas junk down from the attic. That was a gas. Jenny I'm sorry you got stuck doing that, it really wasn't necessary but I really do appreciate your help.

Saturday another open, but I was in good spirits. And it was even better once we went to go see Finding Neverland. I will honestly say that the story brought me to tears at the end, and that Johnny Depp was amazing. I was also shockingly impressed with Kate Winslett in this one too. Overall I will recommend this movie to anyone that just wants to see well thought out drama that has some very comedic moments, but also really serious ones.

Overall it was a great weekend, I drove Jenny home yesterday and came back today. Unfortunately I won't be able to see her until after finals are done for Marquette, but I'll just keep plugging away. So that's about all there is to update on, until I have more stuff or I care to comment on the bs in the sports world that is.
