[8 ℃ is close enough for him. That's 46 ℉ which is only 14 ℉ away from being 32 ℉ or only 8 ℃ away from being 0 ℃. The colder the better to be honest because even a few degrees lesser in the air there is the potential for it to happen--and if the conditions where right it could happen that very day. While Denmark was not savvy in the environmental ( Read more... )

[Pay no mind to the quiet nation wandering the hallways, it's not as if he's looking for anyone in particular. Honestly. That package in his hands? If it resembles some kind of breakfast then it's purely coincidence. Clearly he wasn't worried about that annoying roommate of his. Denmark could get over colds on his own.

Only...Sweden knew his fellow nation well enough to know that things would get no better if left to his own devices. So while most would want immediate praise for things like Kleenex by the bed or the bigger glass of orange juice in the morning? Sweden was perfectly with it all being completely passed over. Otherwise Denmark might get crazy ideas in his head about Sweden actually caring. Who needed that?

This morning however would prove a bit difficult as breakfast would have to be handed over face-to-face. Things were so much easier when the food just disappeared without words having to be exchanged or intents acknowledged. The first step, however, was finding out where the heck Denmark had gone]

[Why Sweden, you are so lucky Denmark is rather oblivious to all these changes in the daily routine. Oblivious in general, he would rather take in the more positive mannerisms of life, enjoy the day-to-day than focus on a cold, tissues by his bedside and larger portions of orange juice. Perhaps he would rather consider them just something to make the day that much better in a time when things seemed rather trodden, a kind gesture amongst things he didn't care to focus on for too long ( ... )

[After turning a corner, Sweden finally spotted a familiar figure who appeared to be attached to the window. He quirked an eyebrow, not that anyone would be able to notice, and stood there watching the scene for a few minutes. The weather had changed last he heard. No more rain, and the temperature had dro-...oh. That explained it. This was almost endearing.

All that aside, Sweden made his way up to the already occupied window and took a spot next to his roommate, silently observing the scene.]

[When the temperature did not drop, a small tsk amongst a breath, a sigh, escaped his lips before looking up then starting as he saw a familiar face in the reflection of the windows. A small, slow smile crept upon his face after a moment of silence before he turned and looked to his roommate, bringing his hands away from the device and placing them in his pockets with a small laugh]

Ah! Sweden!

[The laugh carried as he smiled in a sly manner before leaning closer, uncertain why the other nordic was there but not complaining for the company he had come into recently, the companionship better than the loneliness of the room before. Even if Sweden was prone to nitpicking.]

Trying to scare me, I see--well! Once again your plan has failed you.

Mm.

[Which translated into something along the lines of how he wasn't trying to scare Denmark anyway. His eyes stay fixated on the window as he took a few steps to the left. That leaning didn't go unnoticed.

Not skipping a beat, he sat the 'mysterious package' on the windowsill in front of Denmark, his eyes never once glancing away from the view outside. At least there were clouds. That was a nice sign]

Mm?

[The package caught his attention and he turned his gaze away from the shifting Swede, noting the item and allowing his gaze to linger on it for awhile. Curious enough, he moved and reached out for the parcel, fingers dancing on the top of the surface as the Dane turned his gaze completely to Sweden again, watching for his reaction to see if he could get away with taking the item away and inspecting it properly.

It was set in front of him, after all--so he was going to make assumptions even though the other nation didn't shift his gaze from out the window, focused on the place that Denmark he found himself so focused on moments before.

His attention though, for the moment, was successfully diverted.]

[Oddly enough, Sweden soon found himself leaning closer towards the window, his forehead now mere centimeters away from him recreating the same scene that he'd stumbled upon in the first place. The more he thought about it, the more he started to wish for snow as well. At least one thing to remind him of home. Well, one that didn't necessarily raise his blood pressure. Thoughts of his family were starting to linger in the back of his head (building snow forts with Sealand, getting pelted by his wife's snowballs...which hurt a lot more than one would think although he'd never share that with Finland) but he pushed them aside. If he thought about them, it'd eventually lead to the realization that they very well may...nope, he wasn't even going there.]

[Picking at the wrapping over the top of the meal, Denmark opened it up and inhaled the scent of the food within. It was nice to have a meal like that and the Dane took the meal as a gift from the other without even having to question him because well, Denmark like to assume things. It was only when he was bout to shove a piece of the breakfast into his mouth, his hands into the dish, he noticed the way the silent nation was looking out the window]

Oye--Sweden.

[He paused for a moment then grinned broadly]

Your face'll stick like that.

Mm...

[Sweden gave a slight nod and leaned back from the window, pushing his glasses a bit farther up on his nose. A hand reached up to tap against the window in search of something to do with his hands. He was trying to think of something to say since somehow this silence felt a bit awkward as opposed to the usual comfort level between them. But as expected the words never came.]

[And Denmark was most willing to fill that silence with a small puff of laughter, tapping his finger in return, altering the sound of the Swede's idle tap to fit that of of his own national anthem. It was not a rough tap, but a quieter one at first while his free hand shoveled another piece of the food into his mouth, chewing as he hummed the tune along with the noise of the digit hitting the pane of glass.]

There in the ancient days, the armoured Vikings rested. . .

[Swallowing the food, Denmark sung in his native tongue, turning to Sweden and giving him a mock look of seriousness. Though seemingly, he could not help the small smile that broke past his lips.]
