tea: this set has one of the most phenomenal opening screens i've ever seen. i don't know if it was traced from a still, but it still shows a great deal of patience and attention to detail if it was. i really enjoyed the weird little patches on the background-- this gave the doll's viewing rectangle a "flavor" without being distracting. however the light purple doesn't really go with them.
one of the highlights of this doll for me are the very telling, well-deatiled props which give us a real sense of character. the hair interface, too, is designed with the character in mind; however, i was notcrazy about the fact that it pops over everything else...but that isn't a big deal. a good-sized, very mix-n-matchable wardrobe that doesn't overdo it and that is well-thought out with the character and theme in mind. some very nice patterning, thought the blue and yellow shirt gets lost. the flowered dresses make up for that. vote: yes
rosencrantz: Nifty splash screen, gives some sense of character and the style of story they inhabit. The doll and clothes are nicely illustrated, the wardrobe is varied and interesting, niether too big nor too small. I was quite taken by the jolly rodger motif for the hairstyle interface. Was a bit disappointed that only one tattoo at a time could be displayed; yes two of the designs were mutually exclusive, but the third could have appeared with either. The screen is prolly longer than necessary, forcing the user to scroll. I thought the doll could have done with some underwear. Vote: yes.
