1. Outside of 1130 Taylor Road
[In hindsight, Bazett should have known better than to try to make breakfast, especially not with the mushrooms on the counter. Her drone husband had apparently cultivated them in the garden. Although they were purple and white, she had assumed that they were edible. Why else would her drone husband have suggested that

Kiritsugu Emiya. What are you doing here? You retired from you work as an Enforcer around ten years ago, citing "personal issues." You no longer have ties to the Church or the Association, so what are you doing in Father Kotomine's Church?
[She wonders what he means by his words.]
Why would he not be here? This is his church. Was he assigned another mission while I was away in that strange town? If so, why did he not even leave a note for me, seeing how I am his partner and subordinate?

[Enforcer, while not inaccurate, is an interesting way to put his previous role. It's not that strange to have been labelled as one, he figures. Not when you consider the person who raised him.]
[He bluntly evades every single question made, throwing his own.]
And you? Are you an Enforcer, or an Executor?
[She did call herself Kotomine's subordinate, but depending on the time, that could point towards different organizations. She never showed up in any of his considerable research, however. Fortunately, Kiritsugu's enmity with Kotomine is very much personal, and he's not an enemy of the Church as a whole. What's more, it is supremely unlikely that he would send someone to kill Kiritsugu.]
[But that does not discard the possibility of him being regarded as a rogue magus. Kiritsugu's no longer useful to the Association, so it wouldn't be against their nature to tie off loose

[She supposes she should be honored to meet one of her seniors. However, she can only marvel at this man's fashion sense. He is wearing nothing but a tight red corset, laced panties, fishnet stockings, and high heels studded with sequins. Was this the "personal issues" that he had cited in his file?]
[Of course, this is once again her hallucination.]

[Without a word, he stands up and starts leading the way outside. Ears are ears, inebriated as they may be, and to hear Kiritsugu talk of such matters would put him at risk with several of the town's residents.]
The Association and the Church cooperating... Then, am I to assume you're from the Fifth War?

[Then again, he is both the Magus Killer and a cross-dresser. Perhaps he had gone insane long ago.]
There is no Grail War, at least none that I know of. Father Kotomine did mention that you were associated with the Einzberns, though. Perhaps you know things that I do not.
[Kotomine had also mentioned something about an affair between him and one of the Einzbern's heirs. From the looks of him, she thinks that said heir must have had some individual tastes...]
More to the point, Emiya, why are you here?
And why did you not dress more appropriately for a meeting with one of your old comrades?

[Nothing that he can't tell to a subordinate of Kotomine's, especially one that seems to be unaware of his true nature. Her lack of knowledge of the war is plausible, but this still irks him. If she knows of Kiritsugu, then she must be aware of his most prominent accomplishment: 'winning' the Holy Grail War.]
We were brought here by something similar to Second Magic, but undoubtedly more than that.
[His glance turns to his clothes. He knows his coat is dirty, despite having been bought recently, but is his unkempt demeanor really so surprising? He's unable to decipher why Bazett is so surprised.]
...You've got my name, but you haven't given me yours.

[Oh no you le didn't.]
[There are dozens of parts in that statement the Magus Killer would inquire about. Unfortunately, there is only one part the true Emiya Kiritsugu gives importance to.]
What did you do to Ilya?
[The air practically turns cold.]

Emiya, as an ex-Enforcer and the man with the title of Magus Killer, you should know better than anyone that an Enforcer cannot allow their emotions to interfere with their mission. It was not my personal wish to fight or injure these girls, but they obstructed my mission. I did try to go easy on them, but they refused to stop resisting me. I was forced to use escalating force on them.
If this is any comfort, I am currently allied with them and their mentors unless Father Kotomine or my other superiors in the Association say otherwise.
