Wow... I just realized it has been roughly 6 months since I've written an entry.
Biggest news from the past 6 months? Probably that the service provider I was renting server space with for my websites folded. I had to move Tomas' business website to a new service provider. That was a pain. But I think the new site is better than the old one, and I am still working on it. But the domain didn't transfer properly, so for a little while, Tomas' website is now
tomasthelapidary.NET rather than the previous .COM name. I'll reclaim the .com address as soon as I can.
Other side effects of this:
The other domains I was running (Onara Online, and the Evansville Gaming Guild websites), along with the emails attached to those domains, were folded.
I have moved my email correspondence to my old yahoo address for the time being.
All the images from my old LJ entries are gone, as they were hosted on my old server space and I haven't reloaded them to my new space or updated all the old links yet.
Anyhow... The past six months in summary:
Work:
Tomas has taken on a new apprentice. His name is Skylar and he is very enthusiastic.
Tomas' business now has a Facebook page.
Southern Ohio was good this year, and we have started working on our building for the site.
GenCon and Pennsic overlapped last year, and will again this year. I ran GenCon while Tomas and Sue went to Pennsic. I met up with them part-way through the event, once GenCon was finished. This will happen again this year.
We picked up a new event in November: the Sarasota Medieval Faire down in Florida. We used this as a way to get his business trailer down south earlier so he could tow the camper down in January.
The frame of our new 2nd trailer got welded.
Personal:
I've mostly stopped playing the virtual-pet games I was really into for a while. I haven't deleted any accounts, but I haven't been paying much attention to them.
I picked up with my sewing again, after getting burned out for quite a while. I've made a set of new tablecloths for Tomas. I have also started making some new garb for the whole crew. I made Sue a new outfit for Christmas, and made Skylar a cavalier hat. I also managed to convince to knit Skylar some special fingerless mitten gloves. I'm motivated to use up as much of my fabric stash as I can, in useful ways.
I finally got library catalog software for our home network, and received a barcode scanner as a Christmas gift, to streamline the data entry into the program.
Haven't played much in the way of tabletop games at all...I still play Witch Hunter at the cons I attend, and just last weekend played the first couple modules from the new L5R campaign. That's pretty much it.
