Finally back online

Well, the past six weeks or so have been interesting in that "ancient Chinese curse" sort of way. Christmas and New Years by themselves were fine; busy with family and friends. It was the rest of December that wasn't so good.

Our house was apparently inflicted with the modern equivalent of plague; we all came down sick, one after another, with multiple illnesses throughout December. It wasn't pretty. Even on days when one or the other of us wasn't in bed sick, we had to try and dig through piles of chores that got neglected when we were sick.

So here it is, mid-January, and I'm finally starting to get caught up on the backed-up piles of laundry and other chores. To my sis: the pictures wouldn't load earlier because one of the things that got neglected was a domain renewal bill for the place I store my picture files. They are back up now! And no, unfortunately the Sarracenia you brought me as a gift didn't survive... Between the abuse it received on the long drive, and the abuse it suffered through neglect while I was ill, it croaked. My others are alright, but they were in good health before my illnesses began. They could take a little neglect. I'm sorry. :(

On the internet front, I'm still enjoying Runescape with my roomie Sara, but I've given up on NationStates. I got bored with it. Since Phil's favorite (free) MMORPG Hellgate: London is going offline at the end of the month, one of the Christmas gifts we gave to each other was a subscription to Age of Conan. Three of us in the house are playing now. I even got Phil's computer upgraded for Christmas (with help from his parents and Mark & Sara) so he can play in his home office. We're thinking of forming our own guild, for ourselves and a couple friends that also play. If you know us and play, drop us a tell! I'm Anoxos there as well!

Other than that, I'm getting the first "care package" of backstock and such packed to send to the Boss this week. He is heading for Gainesville, Florida, today. Thankfully he didn't forget anything critical, so the box is mainly actually extra merchandise to replace things he's sold. I, of course, won't be going on the road until March.

Back to work!
