Lately the local gaming scene has fallen apart. My job keeps me out of town most weekends. Phil's schedule shifts around, so he can't keep a regular game going.
EGG has basically disintegrated over the past year, since those of us running it have had real-world issues, and not enough of the younger members have stepped up to fill the gaps. It's time to pass the torch, the problem being, pass it to whom?
HeliadaCon is looking anemic. Our pre-reg list is short. We haven't been able to secure any premieres, and probably won't at this point. The show will go on, and I just have to hope that enough folks show up for the chance to do "catch-up" play that we can break even. We have complete library access to three campaigns, so hopefully that will be a sufficient draw.
*sigh* Even getting a table together at the house is like herding cats these days. Everyone's schedule is different. Ah well, all part of being adults I suppose. The college days of being able to find a game almost any day of the week are long gone.
