Just for Fun
Went to the movies today. It's been a long time. Went to see The Lone Ranger and while the reviews have been, well, less than stellar...as usual, the critics are wrong. The movie was flat out fun. Not a children's movie, for sure, but just plain ol' entertainment.
The relationship they created between Tonto (Johnny Depp) and John Reid (Armie Hammer) is wonderful and layered. Scenes of graphic violence are interspersed with humor of all kinds and levels.
We had a wonderful time and when it comes out on DVD I will buy it.
Nothing more out for me to see for a few months. Then Thor comes out, followed by The Hobbit: the Desolation of Smaug. Both of which are definite must sees for me. Although some little movie called Reds (???) looked kinda fun. Anyone know what that is about?
Meanwhile it is time to figure out supper and plan the menu for another week. Then off to write. Khyr is calling and I have to work on my workshop for next week: Fiction Writers Terminology 101. :D This should be fun.
