I got into a University in London!

All of my applications have been submitted...

So far, one school has rejected me, one I had to withdraw my application from (because of auditioning conflicts), and ONE ACCEPTED ME. That's right, I got into one of the British schools I applied to. Middlesex University in London.

Furthermore, I received a " US Merit Award" for my original music and other related accomplishments, which is in the form of a 2000 pound (about 3,100 US dollars) tuition reduction should I choose to go there, and would be renewed each year of study.

While I am unsure of the university itself and whether I belong there, it feels good to know I got into one and that I have the option to move to London in less than a year. I'm mainly unsure about the school and the music program, but my father said that we will visit all schools I get into before any decision is made (WHICH MEANS I GET TO GO TO ENGLAND BEFORE SUMMER!). Even more so, it feels good to have received recognition for my musical ability in the form of 2000 pounds. I feel really good about that part, and because of them giving me that I'd sort of feel like a dick declining a place to study there. I still have two auditions (for Berklee and LIPA), both better schools than the one I got into in terms of music

There are other schools I have applied to which have yet to issue decisions, and a couple of them may be better schools and have better programs for me, even if they don't give me a 2000 pound award/scholarship. I trust that wherever I choose to study will be a careful and somewhat smart decision. Honestly, if the school I end up at isn't my top choice/wonderful, it will be nice to start somewhere new and get away from all that has been holding me down.

So here's to not failing, to hoping I make the right decision in terms of college choice (if I get accepted to a place/places in addition to Middlesex University), to getting accepted SOMEWHERE despite my poor academic history, and to the apparent fact I won't be in Los Angeles (and probably America) in the fall.
