Stuart Townsend: Y/N?

I really want to like him, as I think he's cute, plus he does some goofy genre and Canadian productions which is always endearing, plus I'm inclined to solidarity with those of dark irish enfeaturement. But I regret to find his acting a bit uninspired.

I'd be upset about Firefly but Outlaw Star and Cowboy Bebop already have their complete runs.

I say that as a guy that liked Firefly, of course.

Joss Whedon's pitiful protests that Cowboy Bebop played no influence on Firefly kill me.

Of course, his protests that Heinlein had no influence are even funnier, because Tim Minear has settled that particular score. I liked Firefly fine-even though Joss's "witty comeback" dialogue makes everyone sound kind of the same-but I figure if it had gone on further than it did we may not remember it so fondly.

Oh wow. I'm sure he denies the Outlaw Star parallels too, which are even worse.

But smuggling biologically-engineered girls with special abilities into briefcases is a fairly common intro for a sci-fi series about outlaws in outer space.
