to be fair, cigarettes are detrimental to society in the following ways:
1. a variety of cancer
2. asthma
3. litter on the streets
4. low birth weights and other problems in children of women who smoked in pregancy
5. general smelliness
so 5. things i can think of, vs. the 16+ ways i can think of how alcohol is detrimental to society. hmmm. look at the alcohol list again. now tell me again how smoking is worse?
