If'n she doesn't take a liking to "Kerry" then you could try "Buddy". A friend of mine's mom's nickname was Buddy so, I guess it'd be OK genderly speaking....

Mostly I'm just calling her Kitty, but I guess Kerry is as good as any name as any for her.
