There are a lot of Republicans that are right, given. There still exist traditional fiscal conservatives whose ideas have proven correct and functional and whose isolationist foreign policy has lead to a worldwide respect of the United States.
However, when you hesitate on meeting with the leaders of a NATO ally and long time military assistant in the current war because you think they "want to harm the United States", you're not really standing on the winning side of the correct line. When you think Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez is in the Middle East, you're factually incorrect. When you say you would fire Chairman Chris Cox of the Securities and Commission for his abuses to the nation's fiscal stability when, in fact, you would lack the authority to do so, you're wrong.
We're not making ethically binary decisions here, but the decisions we do make are founded on information that can be either correct or incorrect and, while unfortunate, McCain just hasn't accrued a whole lot of the former.
If you'd rather keep this off the net, I'm interested in your political views and what's driven them to your current choices as per our now very muddled political environment and would appreciate an email if you've got the time and drive. Email is in the info.
