Thank you so much for being so awesome and wanting to write in one of these fandoms!
General likes and dislikes: I love slice-of-life and missing scenes. I like women being competent and badass in their varied ways. I love exploring the many dynamics of family relationships. (Which is evident in two of my requests there). I love character driven stories and friendship, and people making each other better.
I'd prefer not to have pwp or incest fics, and I'm honestly not huge on graphic smuttiness. I definitely don't need a fic solely focused on a ship - which is probably already obvious by my 'likes,' but ships can definitely be awesome as long as they don't take sole priority over other established relationships. And I never know what else to say here. Like I'm clearly not a fan of misogyny but then this is a 'celebration of awesome women' ficathon so is that necessary to say? I'm guessing no.
Request 1: The West Wing
Characters: Zoey Bartlet, Abbey Bartlet, Amy Gardner
Details: I'd love to see how these ladies - either singly or together - post-show lives are playing out. What happens to Zoey after she leaves the glare of the press? Does Amy ever make every bet on her elections gambling ring? I've always loved the connection between the Bartlets & Amy, and I'd enjoy seeing that closeness (or maybe lack thereof!) explored.
Request 2: Marvel Comics
Characters: Kate Bishop, Gertrude Yorkes
Details: I really adore the bluntness and snark of both these ladies, and anything featuring them & possibly their teams would be excellent. I don't have any real ship preferences with either if you feel like shipping.
For Kate, current stuff with Hawkeye & YA2 is fantastic if you'd like to go that way, but a side story during the original YA would also be wonderful. I really enjoy her BFFyness with the whole team. For Gert, please don't have her be dead the whole story! Otherwise it all goes.
I know these two ladies never meet on screen, but if you could manage something (when the Runaways are in New York maybe?), I would absolutely extra adore it.
Request 3: The President's Daughter
Characters: Any Character (Meghan Powers, Katherine Vaughn Powers, Susan Dowd, Beth Shulman)
Details: Apparently going by this request and the first one, I have a type? Which is daughters of the President. Or something.
Anything following these four women - singly or together - would be perfect. I'd love to see where they're heading post-Long May She Reign.
I have no real shipping preference here, but I'd prefer if a ship wasn't the focus of the fic! And I adore all the Powers men & Preston so please include them if you wish.
Request 4: Les Miserables (2012)
Characters: Éponine Thénardier, Euphrasie "Cosette" Fauchelevant
Details: I so would love to see interaction/shippiness between these two ladies as adults. Which means AUing Eponine's fate (or the fates of others) is totally a-okay by me. My biggest thing here is just acknowledging/dealing with the fact that Eponine and Cosette weren't exactly close or friendly when growing up in the Thenardiers' inn.
I realised after I linked this letter that I don't actually have a lot more to say about these fandoms! I love crossovers if that's something that pleases or amuses you. I'm just really interested to get to read what you go with and I hope you have a really great time doing it!
