You guys. You guys. I don't even know - the response we've received about the book drive already just makes me so incredibly happy and thrilled and in love with the world. Or at least with Fandom as it manifests itself on LJ. I desperately wish that I could fly to Brisbane right now and help clean things up with my own two hands, but being able ( Read more... )

I see that there is a small mistake with the books I can send. Your spreadsheet has me giving all three ML Mage Wars, and I only have 1 & 2 (black and white, not silver). Also all three Mage Storms, but I only have 1& 2 (warning and rising not breaking). Also, I offered all three Winds of... (Fury, Change and Fate). I also, today, unearthed Christpher Moore, Lamb: a novel, so you can add that, too.

lol no problem - I just didn't want people NOT to send books because they thought they were already claimed. I swear that we have the Serenity book around here, somewhere, but I just can't find it. We must have it loaned out. :(

I'm so amazed at how the LJ community helps each other. I'm not able to give anything to Sharron, as don't have anything on on her list that I can send. I'm donating costume books & sewing things to the only one of my friends to be affected by the floods ... and she's lost almost everything.

Oh, that's so sad. So many people have lost so much in these insane floods. You're such a star to donate the costume books and such! I love the LJ community's pull-together. Definitely don't worry about being able to send anything to Sharron. I appreciate that you looked!

Australia is a crazy place for either drought or flash flooding. Most of the big floods I've heard of here have had things like about 1metre (40") of rain in 24 hours. That's freaking insane!

It IS. It's like you guys don't have enough trying to kill you from below between the snakes and spiders and drop bears, but the elements have to put in their two cents!
