I would like to announce my undying gratitude and thanks to the Queen of Pimping, the Shiny Grand Duchess of Chocolate Cake, the inestimable
woodface herself for introducing me to the awesomeness that is Fullmetal Alchemist. And Avatar. *cough* And possibly other things I have forgotten to mention, but I am certain I will be reminded of. (ETA: And Stargate. And music. And there's a reason why she's the Queen of Pimping)
While I am on this topic,
kassandra05, she is who is with me in the land of Pimping (not dirty), receives my gratitude for that which is Runaways.
padawansguide, of course for the excellence and glory of not only making me read Tam Lin, but allowing me to keep her copy of the book for over a year.

greenet who (along with others) make me want to read comics and the X-Men in particular.
defectivewookie for turning Star Wars into more of an obsession than an "eh, pop culture, I should pay attention" interest.
jennisis and
sirgarrett who put me in a car and FORCED me to watch the first season of Buffy on the way to Dragon*Con two Augusts ago thereby starting a new obsession and a 5 month television viewing odyssey over the crap that was last fall.
comedownstairs (and also
monkeyfromhell though I didn't know it at the time) who made me fall in love with Aeryn Sun and Farscape and were the gateway drug to that which is FH.
