Okay, last W(here)TF is my HBP post. I got an email from Amazon
confirming the refund to my credit card since the book wasn't delivered
on Saturday. Since I bought it last night at Schulers, Amazon has
been forgiven. I'm sure they were very concerned about
that. ;)
I also bought Wheelock's Latin (6th edition, Revised) at Schulers, so
earthgoat, we're ready. There's an exercise workbook available which looks interesting though I didn't pick it up. And at
www.wheelockslatin.com,
there's a whole bunch of pronunciation files that will come in handy
since I'm certain I shall insist of pronouncing Latin with a French
accent.
The back of my neck and upper back was totally fried on Friday at the
golf outing. My hair touching it hurts. I remembered to put
sunscreen everywhere else. Stupid shirt with a slightly low back
neckline. *sigh* The golfing was much fun though we didn't
win. I now have golfballs, tees, and placemarkers as well as a
collared "dri-fit" golfing shirt with the company logo on them. I
apparently am being told to pick up golfing. I also made one
nifty shot, chipping a ball from about 100 ft away within 3 ft of the
hole. We took pictures (hey, it was a special moment) which I
shall share with all of you when I get a copy.
Golf will have to wait though as trying to learn tennis is definitely taking precedence. Mmm...tennis...

continued to run me around the court as we hit balls back and forth
though I did way better than the first time. I was pleased to be
able to cover the court pretty well even if the balls I returned didn't
always go anywhere useful. But I hit one or two that he couldn't
return. And as I'm a brand new tennis player, I was happy.
Harry is calling. He's apparently made me my favorite summer
breakfast - a vat of coffee and vanilla yogurt, blueberries, and
grapenuts. How sweet of him to do something like that in the
middle of a war. ;)
