Off I Go
Thank you to everyone for the well-wishes and emotional support. ::hugs flist::
I'm off to Albuquerque tomorrow afternoon. I've triple checked with the airline to ensure that Ferguson's in-cabin dog ticket was properly added to my itinerary. There is a layover in Atlanta (I was tempted to write Hotlanta just to be cool) of just over an hour, which should give me sufficient time to find the gate and remember how much I dislike flying. I don't necessary hate the actual flying, but the waiting and cramped quarters. I've spent most of my day on the phone with Jason in between cleaning up and moving things around to accommodate his furniture and belongings. This has been hard for him, but he knows it as been just as difficult on my end. We've talked a great deal about the future and things we need to or would like to change. It's very positive, considering the situation. He seems to be looking forward to moving here and having a change of pace. I can hear it in his voice when he says how much he misses me and how much he thinks this will help him. And I'm terribly anxious to see him again.
I should be gone for two weeks, give or take a few days. I expect to be settled in here by the last week of the month. However, I'll have internet access while I'm there, so I'll be in and out of LJ-land. And, of course, my Blackberry is my god when it comes to e-mails.
