5 things, closing out November with an oof

1. wrisomifu is done for another year! I'm reasonably happy with how I did; I finished my web site redesign, and I wrote something every day, though not always fiction, which is what "writing" means to me.

I did make great use of fic-writing as a tool for procrastinating the web site, so--yay? \o/ Especially in the first half of November I worked on my WIPs regularly. They remain IP, but I have a couple of BB!Spock stories close to done. Sarek/Amanda has been off the burner more than I like, but I had an unexpected spate of forward progress on a Pike/Winona piece that had been sitting quietly for a few months, which was a nice surprise.

I need to set some goals for December. Sunday! Sunday is Goals Day. /procrastination

(Posting here every even-numbered day is one goal I do have. Also to continue the 10-minutes-daily fic habit because why not. These WIPs are not going to finish themselves!)

2. I hit my limit on ability to absorb information about Wordpress themes at 4 pm today, but that didn't stop me from poking away at it, zombie-style, for another 90 minutes. What the hell?

(I suppose this means I'll have to actually read the book I bought on how to Wordpress. *teenaged sigh*)

3. Here's something I finished in November: I found this painting at an antique mall a couple of years ago, priced something ridiculous like $40, and in the most hideous gold plastic frame imaginable. It's been propped up all over my house without a frame ever since--until November when I finally schlepped it into the framer. Look at this beautiful painting! The way the artist captured the light, I just want to hug her or make her scones or something. What blasphemous individual sold this for $40 at the junk mall?

They're blooming cactuses, btw, in case you can't see.

4. This fox art print. It's so lovely! (♥ watercolor & also foxes)

5. Christmas Tree! I want one. I skipped it last year and I regretted it a little. I think of it as like having fresh flowers in your house, only it lasts for weeks and you can hang things on it.

Look how sweet this tree is!

(PS This is on my Tumblr. If you're on Tumblr and I'm not following you, tell me in the comments so I can stalk you appropriately!)

IN CONCLUSION: NOVEMBER, OOF!
