I have a meeting downtown tonight for a volunteer committee I'm on, and I so very very want to use the option to call in instead of making a personal appearance! For one thing it's cold as hell out. For another, getting there and back, since I don't work downtown, adds an hour and a half to the amount of time it takes out of my very busy schedule of Doing Stuff.*
(*Which, while I'm on the subject, how is it 4:10 in the afternoon and my Doing Stuff hasn't included a minute of writing yet? Rrrr, I have things to do! I have goals!)
And now, to pull this post out of its steep nose-dive toward complaint, here's something from
