Monster!

Hey! I've been groping along with my writing this week, being a very bad updater. Somewhere is a piece of paper where I jotted down my tea units, though. *rummages* Whatever, back on the horse I go ( Read more... )

Dude, I know. I knew I was a goner when I started talking to him before he was even finished. "Who's a fuzzy monster? Are these your cute monster legs?" What is this power that fat little legs have???

SO CUTE OMG! I love his stripey sweater! Did you use a pattern or did you make him up?

Haha, and I, too, knit a great deal while watching the first two episodes of Sherlock. Though at some point that day I had to rip out, like, 6 or 7 rounds so I was probably re-knitting while watching Sherlock. Though this reminds me that I should take pictures!

Yes, pictures! How is your vest going, is it done? I'd love to see it. *stalks your knitting*

I didn't use a pattern for the monster, I just made him up as I went along. There was a certain amount of trial and error (and more error) but I think I have the bugs out now. Next one I make, I'll write down the pattern!

(Also side note: Sherlock! What are these strange feelings I'm having about Benedict Cumberbatch? He's like a total alien and I want to have his alien, superbly-dressed babies.)

I'm maybe halfway-ish done? In a few rows I have to set up the steeking for the neck-hole and then do the same for the arm-holes, all while increasing up from the waist. We'll see if I go crazy or not. I'll try to get some pics up tonight.

Oh wow, I'm impressed! Especially because he's all 3D and fancy! I would love to see a pattern if you write it down. You never know when you'll have to whip up a few monsters.

(OMG so good! It's funny because my mom emailed me and was like, you HAVE to be watching this because you would love it! And I was like, I KNOW OMG fandom is freaking out! So I've finally gotten around to it. And yes, I definitely am having weird tingly feelings about Benedict Cumberbatch. RDJ as Sherlock I can understand, but with him my brain is screaming "HIGHLY FUNCTIONAL SOCIOPATH! BACK AWAY!" while I'm all "oooooooh, he's so pretty!" Haha, so yes, Sherlock.)

That monster is adorbs. Maybe his name is Cumberbach?

Hmm! Or perhaps it is Benedict? I just address him as Monster, as in "Whooza fuzzy monster? is it you? izzit you?" *pokes belly*

(Monsters and puppies: surprisingly easy to communicate with!)

*rolls you in monster*

1) FFFF THAT IS ADORABLE. It looks so fuzzy and happy!

2) "I'm probably the only person on Earth who now associates Benedict Cumberbatch with soft fuzzy sweater monsters." made me absolutely crack up laughing.

Dude. Benedict Cumberbatch cross-wired with fuzzy sweater monster was already wreaking havoc with my feelings, and then YOU had to go and write that Sherlock/Molly fic, and I don't know if it's the monster's influence softening me up or just the sheer brilliance of that story but now I'm like GAH and FLAIL.

(Uh, which I should leave you as a comment over there but I was waiting until I could put together something more coherent than hjksdjkajksfjkfhuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhnnnnngggggggggg!)

FFFFFF NOW I THINK I NEED TO WRITE A FIC WHERE MOLLY KNITS FLUFFY MONSTERS. Those two in the corner? Definitely not inspired by Sherlock and John, oh no! The striped jumper is a total coincidence! And the one with antennae poking out of curly hair (safely ensconced in what's definitely not a shrine)? JUST A SUPERFICIAL SIMILARITY, THAT'S ALL. ♥

I'm thinking the antennae would be the most nommable part of the monster.

I definitely had nommability in mind when I made those. They're attached very firmly!

(Mmmm, tribbles. So soothing! Every Vulcan needs one.)

When tiny Spock thinks nobody's looking, he sticks his whole hand in the tribble bin and rolls his eyes back like he did in Amok Time.

He can stop anytime, he swears.

Oh tiny Spock! Being a baby Vulcan is so confusing. In my head he had a couple of mischievous girl cousins who would tip him off about works of ancient Vulcan erotica hidden on the top shelves of the S'chn T'gai family library. If there was tribble-fondling, I suspect them of being the ones who introduced the subject.
