It had been a long evening. A brilliant evening, that still wasn’t over - only slowing down slightly customer-wise - but it had still been a long evening, and Alicia was getting tired. Her ankles had swollen a bit and more than anything she just wanted to sit down, or at least get her feet cooled down.

She had just finished off servicing the last customer in the line, when she toed off her sneakers, leaving them pushed in under the counter, and called out to Warrington and Cho to please keep an eye on things while she went to feel human again. It annoyed her a bit, that she could go so relatively unaffected by her pregnancy, yet the fatigue and the swollen ankles when she had been on her feet for too long, or hadn’t had the chance to just sit down and relax. Her energy had gone down a bit, as much as she hated to admit it.

A bright smile spread on her face when she spotted Oliver taking a break on the side of the fountain. Granted Tracey was right there next to him, but at least she had been smart enough not so sit so close she was touching him. Besides, it wasn’t Tracey Alicia wanted to see, it was Oliver, and it pleased Alicia to see that Tracey had seemed to learn to keep her distance.

On her bare feet she padded out to the fountain, sending Oliver a smile, before she nodded to Tracey. “Tracey,” she said courteously as she sat down next to Oliver and brushed a kiss to his lips. “Hey, Handsome,” she said with a grin and kissed him again. “I’d say tonight qualifies as sort of a success…” Stretching out her legs she wiggled her feet, seeking to get the blood flowing in them again, though she had to admit that the cold water in the fountain behind did seem to call to her.

Tracey nodded. "Probably need to find some poor idiot to do all the grunt work. I'm far too pretty to do heavy lifting." She looked down at the fountain and dipped her fingers in the cold water. It was only then that she noticed a burn, as the nerves began to sing in pain. She grit her teeth and ignored it. "Busy is good though, yah? We want to be busy after all."

"It's not me who disagrees. I just think your girlfriend would get the wrong idea if we called the place that." Tracey grinned. "Glad you think so, though, I think it's a brilliant name. Now, we just need a sign."

Tracey was about to respond when Alicia sat down on the other side of Oliver. Tracey looked at the woman, more than a little wary. When Alicia said her name, she nodded, curtly, before getting up. "I should get back to work is how I am. I'll talk to you later." And she walked back to the counter. She was more than a little tired of being treated like a whore. More than a little tired of a lot of things.

Oliver didn’t know what the hell was going on with Tracey. It seemed that she got pissy whenever Alicia came around and Oliver wondered why. He didn’t think that Alicia had done anything overtly but Tracey did have a tendency to fly off the handle and he made a note to talk to her later. Oliver liked Tracey though despite her somewhat erratic behavior. It kept life interesting and in the day to day grind of the restaurant business, they both needed that.

“See ya, Tracey.” He waved but his partner was gone and he wondered if she’d be up to talking later on. Oliver hoped if nothing else that she was happy about what had happened with the restaurant because they’d done better than expected. They’d need to look at extra help and soon if they were going to have this much better. Plus they’d need to look at increasing their food order because it would be look pretty bad as a breakfast place if they ran out of eggs.

He wiped his head around at Alicia’s comment and then opened his mouth in surprise. Oliver then pointed at himself and laughed. “Are you talking to me?” He returned her kiss, pressing his lips a bit harder than normal, a promise of things to come. “Your store is brilliant. I mean there’s going to be people zooming around on brooms in no time.” He commented when he pulled away from their kiss. “If you keep this up, love, I might just go on ahead and retire, then live off of your success.”

“Nuh uh,” Alicia shook her head. “My plan is to get my store up and running, then retire to live off the loads of galleons that are ticking in from your place.” She nodded towards the still filled out doors tables. “Look at that. They love your food, and if it hadn’t been the right place for a café, they wouldn’t have stayed as long as they do.” For a moment she watched Tracey as she walked back to the counter. True, she wasn’t the woman’s biggest fan, but she could be civil around her, and strictly speaking Tracey hadn’t had to leave just because Alicia showed up. “Besides,” she said, turning her focus back to Oliver, “if I’m to mother your future Quidditch team, it wouldn’t do if it was me who was the main provider, right?”

She looked up at Oliver, and for a moment she wished they hadn’t been as successful as they had, since that would mean that they would now be mostly alone in the courtyard, and she could take him up on the promise his kiss had made her. Only for a moment, though. Then she was happy, again, that they had really succeeded, and now she could look forward to getting home, when this was over. “Oh!” she burst out, when she remembered how the evening had started. She reached out and took his hand, putting it flat on her stomach. “I felt her… or him today. It’s been there a couple of times since then. Not much, just a little, like this…” Softly she tapped her fingertips to the back of his hand. “Felt odd, in a good way.” Her grin was bright when she looked back up at him. How she could have forgotten, for even one moment, was beyond her, but now, she had remembered and she had told him, just like she had promised herself.

"Then we're going to have a problem then because if neither of us works, we're not going to be able to build up our vast fortune." Oliver grinned and then nudged Alicia with his shoulder. He wouldn't quit working though because he really did enjoy cooking and his life now. Although if things took off with Quidditch, he'd pick up a broom again although the thoughts of turning professional didn't really appeal to him. "My dad's in there cooking now, so I think they're staying for his food." He placed his arm round her waist and then scowled. "This is modern times, woman. Who's to say you need to stay at home. I'm more than capable fo taking care of a kid, lady."

"I think I'll be able to take more time off when we hire some people. The more successful we are, the more we can bring others aboard to give a hand. Dad wants to work now and Mum is baking. Sis helps out front, so its a family affair and cheap labor since Ilana works for tips and the parents work for free." He grinned as he continued. "It keeps them busy and Mum and Dad don't need to work." Oliver knew they'd done well in life and Dad had sold his business for a large profit when they moved here.

"It did and I missed it?" Oliver frowned and grew just a bit sullen. He really didn't want to miss any landmarks babywise and it bothered him that he'd already missed the first one. Well, the second, the first was the actual sex that led to said baby kick. The thought made him feel better and Oliver turned and hugged Alicia while he said, "Well, maybe we have a football star instead."

“A footballer,” Alicia agreed, “or a Beater.” She leaned into Oliver’s arm and rested her head on his shoulder. Though it hadn’t been that long a day, it still had been a busy evening and as much as she hated to admit it she was getting tired. “Wasn’t much,” she mused, “I think I could’ve easily missed it, so I doubt you could’ve felt it on the outside. But I’ll come find you as soon as I can next time, I promise.”

As she sat there his words came back to her, making her smile. “Didn’t say I was going to stay at home, man,” her voice took on the same tone as Oliver’s had, before she chuckled. “But until you’re able to do the big belly thing, the birthing thing and the nursing and feeding thing afterwards, I think I’d like to stay at home for that, you know?” She pulled back just enough to look up at him and send him a smile. It wasn’t until now that the thought had hit her, that she realized how grateful she was that he seemed to be taking for granted that he’d be in on the day to day care of the baby. She hadn’t thought of that, but still, it felt good to hear.

“I’m glad your family’s here, Oliver,” she said, almost as an afterthought, though she still meant it wholeheartedly. There was a comfort, even for her, in knowing that they were close by and ready to help out. Of course, her own parents didn’t live far from here either, but her dad had chosen to not give in to the call, to stay with her mum, who as a Muggle couldn’t go to Annwn. Alicia had been a little sad about that, but she had come to the conclusion that it was no different from when she lived in Edinburgh, which was much, much farther away than Annwn, and she would just have to make the journey to visit them that more often. “I think they’re enjoying themselves here.” With a grin she pointed to Ilana who apparently had a knack for earning tips. Or at the very least charm the customers.

"It's still something and I did miss it. You're going to have to send Warrington over if it happens again so I can run to the shop to feel it." Oliver mused and then curling his arm around her shoulder. "Man's got to be good for something." He teased, then squeezed Alicia closer. "So you think the little one has a bat and a Bludger in there and is whaling away at your tummy or is about to and such. That is an interesting thought."

Oliver grew quiet as he thought about that possibility before she spoke again. He clicked his teeth with his tongue before he answered. "I'm sorry I can't but if I could..." He teased, letting his voice trail off. Oliver tapped the side of his nose and then said earnestly. "But I'll be there every step of the way and you can yell at me and bite me but no pinching because that hurts. If you need to though, you can squeeze my hand as hard as you want when you're giving birth. I'll even put that in writing."

He felt bad for mentioning his family, especially knowing that Alicia's mum and dad weren't there yet and she didn't know if they'd ever come. It must have been frustrating but she knew that his family thought of her as one of their own and had since they'd met her when they were at Hogwarts. They loved Alicia like a daughter and through it all, his mum had always given him that secret smile whenever talk turned toward his fiancee. He squeezed her hand and then said, "Hell, Spinnet. They love you more than me. You don't leave the loo seat up or take your sister's first bra and hang it from the pinnacle of the roof when her first dance date is coming to pick her up."

Alicia sent Oliver a chiding scowl. “You didn’t do that to her!” her eyes flickered to Ilana by the tables. “Poor thing. You’re such a meanie!” Still, the idea of that and the images it provoked in her head did have her smiling and then giggling softly. “Alright, alright, that was a good one, but poor Ilana.” As she watched Oliver’s sister, she was suddenly very glad that she and Oliver had been friends at first, giving him the option of coming to her house as a friend rather than a date, leaving Sam and Nigel without a chance of embarrassing her… too much. Unless of course… No, they wouldn’t have done that. Would they? She glanced up at Oliver, wondering if anything had ever happened to him there, without her knowing it. No, that would wait. She wasn’t sure she wanted to know. She looked at him one more time before she snuggled back into his arm, making herself comfortable against him.

It felt good to sit like that, safe, as he held her and confirmed what she already knew; that he was there to stay and they were in this together. “If he has a Bludger and a bat in there, he’s hiding it pretty well,” she said and wiggled her feet again, to draw attention to them. “Or he’s simply pushing it all down into my ankles.” Flexing her feet she sought to soothe them again. “That’s also another reason I’d like some time off a bit before the birth. Seems it’s barely begun, and already they’re swelling up like this, and that’s just for tonight.” She wasn’t satisfied about that at all, especially when the rest of her body felt fine. “But I’ll be more than happy to have you do anything you can and want to, though it’s a pity about the pinching.” Slowly she nodded before she looked up at him, her smile bright and her eyes sparking with mischief. “That bum of yours was made to be pinched, don’t you know that?”

Oliver grinned, then winked at Alicia. "I did and she deserved it. She'd gone and changed all the locking charms on the doors when I was staying at home after..." His voice trailed off and he glanced up quickly before he gave Alicia a small smile. "Let's just say she was a pain in the bull and she gives as good as she gets when it all comes down to it. I don't envy the boy who tries to tame her. She's a wild child but I love her for it."

He put his arm around Alicia, surprised that his momentary lapse into memories of the war disappeared and he was in the present once more. "It's a mini one, so its probably easy to hide." Oliver pushed his finger into her side, tickling Alicia for a minute while he shared a cocky half grin. "Probably right there under the ribs. It seems as good a hiding slop at ever." He looked at her feet and then chuckled. "I think someone needs a pedicure. Your feet look like you work on them or something." Oliver hugged her close, hoping to avoid the inevitable punch before he pulled back slightly and sent her a teasing smirk. "I'm sorry, love. Too good to pass up." He grew a bit concerned and his eyebrows pinched together. "Cho and Warrington are competent. Take some time off. You can sit in the kitchen with me if you want or I'll take a few days too."

"Stop now. It'll cost you a Knut to pinch my bum." He stood up and wiggled his bottom. "But a spank would be free for you."

Alicia stood up after Oliver, first dealing a pinch to the bum he was presenting her, then soothing it with a soft rub of her hand, as she slipped under his arm, keeping her arm draped around his waist and down to his arse. “That’s for hinting that I’ve plenty of place to hide Quidditch equipment.” She reached up and pulled his head down, not giving him a chance to speak before she kissed him deeply and languidly, making herself sigh softly into the kiss. Her voice was softer when she spoke again, looking up into his eyes, with a crooked smile. “That one’s because I love you.”

Her smile turned into a grin, before she brushed another kiss to his lips. “We’re almost done inside, but I should still check with them before I just take off.” With a glance over her shoulder in the direction of the kitchen Oliver had just mentioned, she shrugged, then wriggled her eyebrows. “But I’ll be over as soon as I can, yeah? And we can go home together once you’re done too”
