“Anything she needs, you help her with, alright, Thisby?” Finbar sent the small creature a look to make certain that his orders were understood. A bright grin spread on his face when Thisby nodded and repeated what he had just asked her to do. “Thank you, Thisby,” he told her, before he sent her off to Cho. Now all he needed was for the blokes to get here, and it would be perfect.
As he waited he sat back and breathed in the special air that had always seemed to be in the home pitch for the Bats. Though it hadn’t been used for real matches for years, he had still met with the blokes who had made up the Irish team for the World Cup here a couple of times a year.
This time, though, there would be an honorary member of the team, courtesy of him, and with the approval and support of the rest of the team.
On the steps of Cho’s home, Thisby found herself waiting patiently as she looked down at the letter in her hand. Master Finbar had told her to give it to Miss Chang, make sure she didn’t lose it, and then she would take Miss Chang to him. Oh yes, Thisby would do that. She had not done anything wrong in all those years, and she knew she was a good HouseElf. Yes, she had seen the letter, Master Finbar had read it to her so she understood, and Miss Chang would go with her.
