Charlie was rubbing his hands together, wiping off the sweat on his trousers. Then he groaned and cleaned his pants with a flick of his wand. Why was he so nervous? It was only the opening of his shop. It meant that he had to make money now. And he had to sell pets and anything they could need. He would have to sell the cute little things which were happily puttering around in their enclosures. He didn't want to sell them, but when he thought about how they might make someone else happy, he wouldn't be able to stop it. But he was nervous.

He cursed softly as he walked around the front room of the shop, looking down at the Crup puppies that were chasing each other's forked tails as their mother was watching them with hawk eyes. He had been lucky when he was offered the pregnant Crup, the previous owner hadn't been able to keep his own petshop anymore and Charlie had bought most of the animals. The rest had already been promised to their new owners. The puppies had been born a couple of weeks after he had brought their mother into his shop. He reached down into the enclosure and scratched behind the mother's ears earning him a contented look and whine. Charlie grinned.

The shop was full of noises from all directions, the animals had practically taken over and made the shop theirs. And he wouldn't have it any other way.

Now it was just to wait and see who would come in through that door and maybe change one of the animals' life.
