Because I need to do something else than whine about my lingual incompatibility with most of the world, I'm choosing to post the massive Bella-and-Rodolphus meta celta_diabolica has been nudging me to post. Hee. I much prefer this to medieval German kings right now.

This is long. On them separately and together; sort of the base for my personal fanon.

That was very interesting! I always also had a soft spot for Snape-Rodolphus, and agree think they'd got on well and are very much alike. I see, probably obviously from the novel above, as Rodolphus as someone who never saw through Voldemort - perhaps never *wanted* to, but I don't even think he thought about it. In too deep very early, or too reliant on LV for his enitre world-view to ever question him. There is a slightly neurotic side to my!Rodolphus - don't remember where I got that from, perhaps it's only there because I tend to make my fictional men tortured, heh. But he doesn't acknowledge it himself or is in any way an *angsty* character - but it affects him anyway.

Hard, cold, quiet and brilliant - oh yes. Very much so. How do you see the B/R relationship - as a at-one-time sexual one or completely platonic?

I think that a man like him, very early on forced to take care of himself and his brother and forced to be a grown up, would hate to have someone telling him how to think or what to do.( one of the many problems between him and Bella ( ... )

That is a really interesting observation, that! Never thought of it that way. I think my answer to this is that it's the control freak in him that makes him a blind follower - LV offers the control he needs. There also seems to be a part of him not wanting to carry it all himself like he always had to, though I think that's definitely not a conscious feeling ( ... )

You posted Teh Meta!! *huggles your psychopathic purebloods*

So you know what I think already, courtesy of my crazy-long email on the subject. I find these observations fascinating, and they just whet my apetite for MOAR Indoctrination (not to mention your thoughts on the horcrux/rewarded beyond their dreams thing).

I'm so so happy to see you and zauza getting on like a house on fire! *beams and glomps you both*

=D You're a good matchmaker, you are!

Moar Indo, oh dear.... I must get on that (it's a year old now! Christ.) If I could only come up with exactly what I want it to be about...
