I didn't have time to write you a fic, but I did write a Massu fic for the JE Remix, so I'm posting it here since he's your favorite. Happy belated~!

I love this fic. I don't know how many times have I read it since I found it. You did a great job writing something fluffy and cute dealing with a serious issue like Jin's depression.
The reference to the others fics and of course, the reference to real life are awesome. It makes a fan feel in tune with every detail of the story!

Love the portrait of Yamapi and Jin's friendship too. How they didn't talk but Yamapi still found a way to tried and fix it and have his friend happy again. And it's true, Massu's smile multiplies. Every time he smiled in this fic I did too!

Wow, what a lovely comment! Thank you! ♥ You got it right, I was thinking of Jin as depressed, but I think you're the first to ever actually use that word. I feel like he's not as energetic in his live performances anymore.

Thank to your fic and some others I've been looking more into Jin and KAT-TUN. It's different, I have to say, 'cus they're so exposed that's easier for us to, well, "analyze" them.

I'll have to start looking for old performances, though, to make the contrast. Because it's easy to tell with NEWS when they're tired as hell, not because they do it badly (it's never perfect anyway), but because they don't mess around as much. With KAT-TUN... They really just wanna get it over with! That sad.

Hope you keep working in stuff like this. They're only fics, but can easily make people's days reading them. You're really good at it!

I think the best way to contrast KAT-TUN, and this is a little unfair, is to look at their high and lows. So if you find them on youtube or veoh singing from Kaizokoban, or basically ANY KAT-TUN performance before 2005. Or better yet, try to find a performance of Real Face in 2006 when it first came out in May. Jin is their harmonizer, and he's amazing. He "eyefucks" the camera and swivels his hips and it just awesome.

Then you watch post-LA jin in "Yorokobi no Uta" lives and god, its just terrible. He has like no enthusiasm, doesn't even look at the camera. And since he's their harmonizer, if he's off tune then they all sound bad. Though to be fair pre-2006 they were more pre-recorded and post-Yamapi's messup they were live more often. In some earlier lives he flirts with the others too, like say using Ueda's mike or giving Maru a high five, but now he's just sort of there. I think he's getting better, though.

I watched "Yorokobi no Uta" live. I hate that song. That song was a former roommate's favorite and she sang it with all the passion of the world... while she was listening to it with her *headphones*!! At seven in the morning!! Please picture me, in *my own room* hearing once and again "aishiteruuu, aishiteruuuu!!!" GAH! Is like, the stupidest song ever. You don't say the same word over and over again in a song, it loses it meaning

HAHA OMG totally agree. I hate that song. I liked the come with song "Your Side" a THOUSAND times more, but god, YnU is a TERRIBLE song. An interesting comparison in terms of talent though, is to watch them perform "Your Side" live on Cartoon Kattun (a horrible performance) and then watch Nakamaru and Ueda perform it together on Shonen Club premium, and they just sound so much better in comparison
