Snow is neat!

I probably could have made it to work yesterday, but decided to avoid all of the ice and bad drivers and stayed home with my honey and enjoyed the snow! It was about 6 inches deep in my neighborhood. We took a walk to the huge japanese garden nearby, which was gorgeously snow-laden, took lots of pictures, poked at a frozen pond with a stick and skipped some ice chunks across the surface, which made a really cool sound. I also got all packed for 12th Night, and finished my red kirtle! The one I started last May, just before the beginning of the Royal Wardrobe Marathon (TM). Okay, almost finished, but wearable. I'd like to hand-stitch the currently machine-basted hem and do some seam finishing, but I can wear it.
Looking forward to seeing the completed royal 12th night ensembles and having some closure for many months of hard work. It was weird to put so much time into something, but only get it 90% done and ship it off.

Next projects:
A warm coat for Estrella (greenland style, or proto-houppelande?)
15th C doublet & coat for adorable husband
A second front-buttoned overgown (yummy green wool, half done already)
More kirtles- I realized that I've been relying on the same two supportive gowns for over two years. They need some back-up.
House. The chimney needs repair, and I need more organization overall.
