Where do I know Karen from? Laura Prepon, says TV.com... Hm... doesn't ring a bell. Maybe because she looks just liek Rebecca deMornay. Oh, well, either way, she's very, very annoying - and if she's the mother, I'm sorry, TPTB should have picked Stella. But, she's comming back, maybe I'll like her better next week.
Also back, Scooter. Never cared much for him, but at least he made me laugh this time. Liked that scene.
The pants were an okay joke, Marshall (Josh Radnor, right? - no, sorry, Jason Segel, always mix them up) was funny because, Barney was... crazy and mean. But I love him for it.
Best joke of the night? The gun! That cracked me up!
CM - DEMONOLOGY
Yeah, okay, it was fun. Garcia was great, loved to have her all around, and Emily is a nice character, very well played, but the unsub was just a good actor with a silly story. Could have been better.
DEXTER - 03X01-03X03 - AND THE FIRSTH BOOK
I just bought DARKLY DREAMING DEXTER a couple months ago, and it's taking me a while, but I'm 50 pages from the end.
Really nice book, but, for once, I think TV is better. Probably because I already know how it will end (or sorta), because I've seen the firsth and second season already, that obviously makes me read slower 'cause I know what's comming already. But also, Dexter is the BEST character in the book because he's really the ONLY character. I like Deb, and LaGuerta, and Angel - Rita! Oh, how I loved how she went from fragile victim to strong woman who kicks her ex and her mother out of her house and life. And they're not there, because the important thing - probably because we see things through Dexter's voice - is the killing and the code and Dexter's confusing feelings. Deb is how Dexter sees family, LaGuerta is politics (BTW, she's a great there too, quite a bitch), Rita is sex, Doakes is... well, he's kinda creepy (BTW, I can't believe what happenned to him in season two - no, no, no, no! Unfair!).
It's a nice book, it's a funny book, if you're into dark, sarcastic, dry humor as much as I am. Still, I wanted more character development for the others. Sorry, TV spoiled me.
And, since we're at it, I finally got some time to catch up with DEX as well! Slowly, but I'm happy I did. Season two pissed me off a little - Lila was a riddiculous character and Doakes... lets not go there -, but THIS SEASON, oh, well, you're forgiven show! Keep loving Rita more and more, and Deb is much more under control - nice to see she won't be getting her ass kicked by Angel every episode and everybody will hate him. Angel is a nice guy. And Dexter's Bestest Friend is a great twist - I hope he does not sleep with LaGuerta, please, that "the one that got away" was the silliest thing I've ever heard ont he show. Keep Prado as Bestest Friend and I'm happy.
And how much I love Michael C. Hall? He just keeps getting better every season.
