Since lockdown in the U.K. all charities have had a tough time, especially the ones who depend upon their own shops, which have had to close. The charity I volunteer for - Farplace Animal Rescue has been in this position. Farplace are no kill, and take in animals which other charities find it hard to home. This includes big animals, like horses right the way down to tiny animals like gerbils, with specialist needs, so typically their vet bills and general running costs are high at the best of times.
They are running a story and poetry competition fundraiser. See the above image for details.
Guys, any of you on my flist have a good chance of acing this competition and the more who enter, the bigger the winner's pot. If you don't win you have the warm fuzzies of having written a cracking piece of work for yourself as well as helping some animals who really need it.
