AHEM. I have an announcement to make:
I,
anniesj, being of perverted mind and hot body, solemnly swear to post on my LiveJournal more frequently or risk the wrath of internet spankings from my friends.
I'm tired of not posting a lot. I'm tired of having thoughts and then thinking, "but that's not REALLY an LJ post, is it?" I'm sick of it. It must be stopped. I keep doing this to myself, and I miss my LJ friends. I miss y'all, dammit!
So, I'm gonna post more. A lot more. If a stupid, random thought comes to my mind, I'm gonna post it. If I border on spamming my friendslist for the next couple of weeks until I get back into Da Flow of things, then to hell with it, and to hell with all of you! TO HELL!!!
Anyway.
Today is an Awesome Day, which is good, because I spent my Columbus Day holiday weekend sicker than hell. I caught a nasty chest cold from walking my dog in Tropical Storm Tammy's rain last week, and spent a good couple of days just lounging around, aimlessly flipping between my Xena DVDs from Netflix and my Farscape DVDs.
I also spent a lot of time reading Audrey Niffinegger's The Time Traveller's Wife, which was simply FANTASTIC. I started it Friday and finished it Saturday, after bawling blissfully through the last hundred pages or so. SO. FUCKING. GOOD. I want to make a movie of that book. Also, I've discovered that I am so lamely obsessed with David Thewlis that I mentally cast him in everything. But he would make such a GREAT Henry! He's tall and skinny and has Henry's long hands and gentleness and violence and GYAH. And yes, it is no mere coincedence that the hero of my Novel-In-Progress is very Thewlisian. *g*
Anyway, back to Awesome Day. We've got money coming in, so I get a bunch of it to go finish my apartment! WHEE!!! I'm going to Target as soon as I get off work to buy bedding and bathroom stuff, and yes, I plan on shelling out some extra cash for Veronica Mars S1 and Arrested Development S2 on DVD. Because I have to.
Finally, my baby brother turned 18 last week. I am officially Old. *sniffles*
