eeeeeeeeee!!!
I love hlynna and popefelix SO MUCH right now. Why, do you ask? Because thanks to the help of their CD burner, I am currently sitting in my living room, watching Doctor Who on my television set. EEEEEEEE OMG SHINY!!!! YAY! I have all these files on my computer that are DivX files, and my DVD player plays DivX files (and the model only costs $75 and you can find it at fucking WAL-MART now), but my CD burner would never let me burn.
But now, oh now, I'm watching the Doctor and Rose flirt their way through time and space on my television screen, and it's absolutely wonderful. NINE ON MY TELLY! NINE!!!
Also, they gave me a copy of Pray for the Soul of Betty's CD. Yes, that's right. I now have a copy of Constantine Maroulis's band. FORGIVE ME FOR I CANNOT HELP MYSELF. *is totally ashamed* And they lent me their VHS copies of Mystery Science Theater 3000's shorts collection!! YAY! The shorts were ALWAYS my favorite part of MST3K, so I'm UBER-PSYCHED to see them. *g*
OMG NINE'S SMILE ON MY TELEVISION SET IS SO BEAUTIFUL!!!! AHHHHHHHH!!!!
Also, I stayed up until 6:30 in the morning last night. I picked up HBP at 4:00, and couldn't put it down until my eyes BEGGED me to stop. YAY! I'm up to chapter thirteen of HBP. Can I just say that I'm loving this right now? And I have NO IDEA how the rest of the fandom is reacting to the novel, but I'm enjoying the SHIT out of this book. Ministry politics! Dark stuff! Malfoy! NARCISSA AND BELLATRIX! Snape's house (and no, I don't buy that he's been a Death Eater all along, at least not yet)! LUPIN!!! Dumbledore's HAND! And SNAPE GOT THE DADA SLOT OMG!!!! *is floored*
And yes yes yes yes YES the kids aren't taking Care of Magical Creatures this year!! Oh, PLEASE tell me that means less Hagrid in this book, because Hagrid bores the FUCK out of me. That's, like, the only spoiler I want to know at this point. *g* I'm so so so SO glad that I managed to avoid the spoiler frenzy and have no idea what's happening, because it's making the book even THAT much more fun. EEEE!!! POTTERLOVE!!!
And the best part is that all this HBP reading has really reignited my Pottermuse. I'm already getting ideas for WAL again, and that makes me EXTREMELY giddy. New canon sometimes rocks. ;)
