The Jacob Trilogy: Coming Soon?

Aug 20, 2011 23:57

I haven't posted in quite some time, so I thought I'd give you guys a head's up as to what's going on with me, on the off chance that anyone's curious.
I've been having some RL issues with my family, but I don't want to get into that, because I hear about it enough as it is, and I don't want it to take over every aspect of my life if I can avoid it.
Also, I've been having some computer issues, which means that pretty soon, I'm gonna have to replace the one I've got. Thankfully, most of my stuff (writing, music, artwork, inspirational pics) is on flashdrives and such, so hopefully the only stuff I'll have to replace is a few programs.
I've also been getting over a cold...though I''m tempted to drag it out and see if they release any more BD pics. Funny thing, waiting for new pics for so long and then, once I was sick, finding out that they'd finally put out new ones. Is it November yet?
Okay, on to the real point of this post: I've started a new fic. Or, rather, a series of fics. I know, I know, another fic is the last thing I need right now, let alone a series of fics. I wasn't planning on it; the idea just came to me. Unfortunately, it's not a series of original stories...which would be something I could possibly publish and make some money off of, which would be my dream. No, it's sort of an AU take on New Moon, Eclipse AND Breaking Dawn...and it's unlike anything I've ever come across.
Basically, the premise is this: What if Jacob and Bella had stayed just friends? What if their had been no love triangle? How would that have changed things?
I intend on keeping most of the big events (threats from the nomads/newborns and the Volturi, Jacob imprinting on Nessie, etc.) as canon as possible, plus a few that will be suprising...but hopefully in a good way.

I've essentially just started it, so, if my muse holds out, maybe it will be my first official fanfic that I get to post. I've got a lot of stories to tell, and I want to get started soon.

health, twilight series, my writing, fanfic
