Hullo there, lovely flist!
You may have wondered what I've been up to for the last, oh, month and a half or so... on the other hand you might see this pop up on your flist and go "she was away? didn't notice!" but, anyway...
I've been working late into the nights, but I've finally handed in my thesis to my advisor this week. Next week, he gives me notes. Then we conquer the world profit I will edit it, have it printed and bound and early in July I shall be defending it... thus ending my academic career unless they find some spare change behind the sofa cushions and offer a doctorate. \o/ Of course, since I managed to get the grades for it, what I'm aiming here is nothing less than a summa cum laude, so that's an entire different worry right there to deal with right now. Moving on.

I had planned to get a new fandom after finishing my thesis (as a sort of present to myself, new shiny toys to play with!) and my chosen fandom was going to be Legend of the Seeker. British! Cheesy fantasy! Kick-ass ladies! Epic het romance that is epic and composed of two very attractive young 'uns!
So, imagine my surprise that I seem to have fallen into uk_lolitics instead. If you don't know what that is, well, this is basically me now. It is very embarrassing, but I'm heartened by the fact that every single one of the other fans are just as embarrassed. No, really, the description for the community in the profile is "WE ARE CREEPY, BUT WE FEEL QUITE BAD ABOUT IT".
