SPN: the five-minutes post

Feb 12, 2010 20:57

I literally have only five minutes, so I'll keep it telegraphic:
The moment Dean said he wasn't interested in going out and getting some I thought "oh, Dean! You are so depressed. You are so, so depressed." The trouble with Dean is that he's a functional depressed (as Famine said, he keeps going through the motions), he's not the easy kind to spot; you know, the ones who most days count it as a win if they can physically get out of bed... but I did think, right at that moment, that he's just as bad. The hamburger refusal gave me a sense of foreboding... aaand at the end there I totally expected him to look up and say "yes".

Heaven's breeding program belies the truth in Michael's little "think how amazingly unlikely is your birth!" speech... it wasn't a series of random choices spanning millennia... it was all Orchestrated! I say God's last real orders were around the time He sent Anna down on Earth... and then there's the void, which caused her to fall, and the other Heaven-bound angels to decide to act upon a hazy concept of the Plan. Agents of Fate indeed, the angels have made themselves judge, jury and executioners of Fate.

As an aside, is it me or can you spot a hiatus coming on this show if Dean is having a "can't do this anymore" breakdown or what? Season 2, season 4, now...

Last thing: clearly, Dean/Tessa EPIC OTP y/y? I kept thinking of her the whole episode. And now I want the AU where she took him the first time, and then Sam died in Cold Oak, and John was left alone with his revenge... apparently this episode has awakened my hunger for angst.
